What’s For Dinner Tonight?

Ever wondered what will you cook for the dinner everyday? It is really a complex question that arises in the mind of any lady be it working or a housewife. Cooking dinner every night can be quite difficult when you don't know what to cook actually or you are not ready with the required ingredients.

Offcourse for busy working moms it becomes quite hectic after a long day of work to figure out what to serve in dinner. Always eating outside food is not an easy thing to do. Looking for a restaurant where you can get food of your own choice and wherein reservations are available is at times a challenge. 

In my previous postings I have been posting dinner recipes out of which my favorite two are simple and easy dinner ideas for family wherein I had shared dinner ideas separately for two people and kids which was quite well appreciated by readers.

Another one is Crustless Simple Quiche Recipe that is a great dish to be served at dinner. It is made with unbaked pastry shells, different veggies e.g. spinach which is rich in vitamin K, C and B6.
This time also I have come up with such an easy dinner recipe which was loved by all in my family.
The name of this dinner recipe is Pan-Seared Salmon with Kale and Apple Salad served as dinner rolls with combination of apple, cheese, almonds and seasoned with pepper which adds a tangy taste to it.

Pan-Seared Salmon with Kale and Apple Salad Recipe

Total Time: 40 min Prep: 20 min Inactive: 10 min Cook: 10 min Yield: 4 servings Level: Easy


Ingredients:

·        4 whole wheat dinner rolls
·        Freshly ground black pepper
·        Four 5-ounce center-cut salmon fillets (about 1-inch thick)
·        3 tablespoons olive oil and fresh lemon juice
·        3 tablespoons toasted slivered almonds
·        Kosher salt
·        1 bunch kale, ribs removed, leaves very thinly sliced (about 6 cups)
·        1/4 cup dates, finely grated pecorino
·        1 Honeycrisp apple

Directions:
  1. Firstly you will have to make sure salmon is brought to room temperature 10 minutes before    cooking it.
  2. Simultaneously, take a large bowl and keep on whisking together 2 tablespoons of lemon   juice and olive oil with 1/4 teaspoon salt. Then add the kale, toss it to coat and let it stand there for about 10 minutes.
  3. While the kale is kept on the stand, cut apple into the size of matchsticks and dates into thin slivers. Now add the apples, dates, cheese and almonds to the kale. Spice it with pepper, toss well and set aside.
  4. Dash the salmon all over with 1/2 teaspoon salt and some pepper. In a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat remaining oil. Raise the heat to medium-high. Keep the salmon, skin-side up in the pan. Cook it on one side for about 4 minutes till it turns golden brown. Make sure the fish is cooked well until it feels firm to the touch within 3 minutes it is done.
  5. Finally divide the salmon, salad and rolls equally among four plates.

This is itself a unique recipe which contains the nutrition of apple and kale salad with a crunchy, tangy and sweet taste in it.

The types of dinner I like- Quick & Easy

Yes, it is true that dinners are very important meal and it’s the only meal which we eat with the family etc. I know and I am ready to accept everything however, it is also true that every evening we come back home tired and exhausted. No one wants to spend lots of time in the kitchen and grill themselves further
.
Over a period of time, I am collecting some quick recipes which I have kept in my cupboard under the sticker of quick dinner ideas. Funny? No I guess it’s practical and today I will be sharing one recipe from this box only. I hope you will like this recipe as much as I do and enjoy it with your family.

The recipe which I am sharing with you today is- Bubble Pizza

Ingredients-
  1. 2 cans of buttermilk biscuit
  2. 1 jar of pizza sauce or you can also use homemade red sauce
  3. 3 cups of Mozilla cheese
  4. Pork and chicken topping (actually use any topping you like and is you are a vegetarian, use veggies)
  5. Cooking spray for layerin
Method-
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Cut the buttermilk biscuit into quarters. Take a big bowl and mix biscuits with pizza sauce, half Mozilla cheese, pork and chicken topping. Make sure that the biscuits are well covered with sauce.
  3. Now, spray the oven try with cooking oil. Spread it well and transfer the biscuits in the tray. Top it up with Mozilla cheese.
  4. Bake it for about 30-35 minutes or until the biscuits are not done. Do not peek before 25 minutes, it will kill the heating air of the oven.



You will see that this dish will become your family favorite. Most of my family members were skeptical in the beginning about this dish but they got the hang of it. Now, they specially demand this dish from me once a week and honestly I am very happy to oblige.

Personally, I feel that quacking for your loved one’s is important however spending time with them is more important. Simple and Easy Dinner Ideas For Family

From the moment we get up from the bed, we are in hurry. We are running to get to the office, we are running to get our lunches, we are standing in the grocery shop queue etc. Life is very draining from Monday to Friday. Still, there is one meal which we all take with our family and share our day with them. I look forward towards this meal every day.

My friends ask me about the recipes which they can cook for the dinner and I keep telling them that besides the recipes, you need to spend time with your loved ones. So my post is dedicated to all the women who regularly think of innovative family dinner ideas.

Dinner Ideas For Two:-

If you are planning a dinner just for two of you than consider the dishes which your partner likes. Give him the special treatment he deserves. You not necessarily have to go overboard with decorations and table spread but just a simple dinner for two of you will do the trick. You can create these dishes.
  1. Thai salmon burgers- these burgers are so delicious that your partner will fall in love you with all over again. You can adjust the hotness of this burger as per your liking. Dinner Ideas For Kids-

Dinner becomes very trick when you have a family because kids make those funny faces when you serve them healthy vegetables. You have to keep thinking of the ideas to serve them the vegetables. I have huge experience in feeding my kids with some green vegetables. You can cook these dishes if you are cooking for your kids.
  1. Sloppy Joe Biscuit Cups - These cups look so cute that your kids automatically wants to eat them. I top these cups with some tomato ketchup, it adds some color to the dish as well as enhance the taste of the dish. Stuffed Meatloaf Recipe with Spinach and Tomato


Meatloaf recipe for dinner is the perfect solution, kids are happy as well husband. Everyone love meatloaf. Whether you make it with chicken or beef you can never go wrong with this recipe. If you does then you definitely made some major flaws while making it.

A meatloaf will prepared with great precision and accurate measuring of ingredient. Anything in access can make the loaf very runny and gooey or if you don’t add moisture it becomes very dry and chewy. So while adding eggs, chicken stock you have to make sure it’s added under precision. Nevertheless, a meatloaf does need some practice and experience.

I remember I always seek for some secret tips and tricks from my grandmother, mother and aunts while making any authentic recipe. Meatloaf recipe is one of the traditional recipe that is prepared from centuries in many families. And it’s not even surprising that some on the ingredients and spices changes as the place changes and so does the flavors and taste too.

A classic meatloaf is prepared in plenty of ways whether you make a whole loaf in a baking tray or make mini loafs and for that matters meatloaf in cupcakes or bite-size are also commendable. But today I am sharing an interesting meatloaf recipe which you can also make in parties. Rather than making a classic meatloaf recipe make a nice stuffed one.

Stuffing could be of anything, like cheese, bell peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach or even any combination of assorted veggies and cheese. So when you have a bite of a meatloaf these ingredients give nice flavor and taste compared to a regular dish. I personally like the combination of spinach, tomatoes and cheese. It’s a perfect hidden spot to make your kid eat veggies. Try kale and chopped broccoli or peas etc. if your kid doesn’t like to eat vegetables.

Knorr’s Black Bean Salad


Beans salad is one of my favorite recipe, it’s healthy, rich in protein and amino acids. I mostly have Beans salad in lunch but if I feel lazy don’t want to cook beans salad is the easiest dinner recipe for that day.

Few days back I got a newsletter with some really interesting recipes in it. One I really liked was Black Beans Salad. It’s really easy and quick to make and nutritious too. From the recent researches it has shown that black beans provide special support for digestive tract health. It’s rich in protein, fiber and essential nutrients. In fact, unlike dietary sugar, which can move very quickly through the digestive tract and out of the digestive tract into the bloodstream, or dietary fat, which can move very slowly through the digestive tract and out of the digestive tract into the lymphatic system or bloodstream, both protein and fiber can move through the digestive tract at a moderate pace. Easy Dinner Recipe – Baked Artichoke Dip Recipe

At times serving finger food in dinner is quite an interesting twist for your family. They not just enjoy the food but it’s create that party mood or the game-day mood instantly. Easy Chicken Recipe: Coco-Cola Chicken Wings

One of my favorite chicken recipe is Coco-cola chicken or Sticky Chicken recipe. It’s simple yet an easy recipe. I got this recipe quite a long back and on weekdays I try to make such easy chicken recipes which saves time and efforts. Serve this with rice and some grilled vegetable, it taste just great.

Note: don’t use diet coke as it do not contain any sugar content in it. Use the classic Coca-Cola for this recipe.

This simple recipe is finger-licking tasty, the caramelized and simmering sauce makes this recipe really scrumptious. Kids simply love the tangy and sweet flavors of this recipe. This recipe is a classic Chinese recipe and got inspired from sweet and sour chicken recipe. Ideally this recipe is made with chicken wings or chicken pieces with bones, don’t use boneless chicken pieces for this recipe. I saw this recipe first time on Masterchef’s episode, although they baked the chicken pieces but I made them in a skillet pan and also made few changes to make this recipe in my style. Dinner Recipe: Pepper Chicken with Lemon Spinach



The most confusing question for me is “what’s for dinner?” or “what to make for dinner?” I guess most of the ladies who are reading this blog face the same issue. You can’t make one single recipe each day, you have to make sure everyone eat the food you cooked without making any of those funny faces, and lastly, it should be healthy. 

People suggest a dinner should be light and not heavy. That’s absolutely true but it should be filling too. It should not be that light that you have those hunger pangs at middle of the night. It’s best to make some chicken recipes in the dinner. As chicken is the best source of protein and protein helps you to stay full for longer period of time and you don’t have those hunger pangs in between. 

Boneless chicken breast recipes are the best thing that you can make for dinner. They are less in calories and fats and got the highest source of protein. From a chicken breasts you can make chicken salads, soups, sandwiches etc. however, today I am making a nice flavorsome recipe called pepper chicken with lemon spinach. One of my friend has sent me this recipe via email. I tried this recipe and me and my husband just fell in love with it.

Chipotle Bean Chicken Stew

Classic Chicken Breasts Recipe: Sweet and Sour Chicken


Are you looking for a classic and easy chicken breast recipes then sweet and sour chicken is easiest of all. Sweet and sour chicken is kid’s favorite too. It got the delicious Chinese Flavors and the sweet and sour flavors that just can’t be ignored.
