Whenever Christmas is about to come, the only carol plays continuously in my mind is – “Silent night, holy night. All is calm, all is bright...” Calvin Coolidge once said - Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas. Absolutely True! Christmas is all about purity, goodness and happiness. Easy Chicken Recipe: Coco-Cola Chicken Wings

One of my favorite chicken recipe is Coco-cola chicken or Sticky Chicken recipe. It’s simple yet an easy recipe. I got this recipe quite a long back and on weekdays I try to make such easy chicken recipes which saves time and efforts. Serve this with rice and some grilled vegetable, it taste just great.

Note: don’t use diet coke as it do not contain any sugar content in it. Use the classic Coca-Cola for this recipe.

This simple recipe is finger-licking tasty, the caramelized and simmering sauce makes this recipe really scrumptious. Kids simply love the tangy and sweet flavors of this recipe. This recipe is a classic Chinese recipe and got inspired from sweet and sour chicken recipe. Ideally this recipe is made with chicken wings or chicken pieces with bones, don’t use boneless chicken pieces for this recipe. I saw this recipe first time on Masterchef’s episode, although they baked the chicken pieces but I made them in a skillet pan and also made few changes to make this recipe in my style. Slow-Cooker Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani

These days I am completely experimenting slow cooker recipes and as  promised earlier, I did try the Indian biryani recipe in slow cooker! And the biryani was super scrumptious moreover, it was really simple to make because of slow cooking, the flavors were really aromatic and delicious.

Slow Cooker Recipe

If you don’t know about biryani then it is a Muglai rice dish and it’s famous in Hyderabad which is situated in India. I got this recipe when I was in India quite a long back from an Indian lady, although I made this recipe earlier too as instructed by my friend. But recently one of my Indian male friend told me a very interesting fact about Muglai food that it is cooked in low temperature and cooked for a longer period of time. So that, flavors and aroma are maintained. He said it’s definitely not like our fast foods which can be cooked in just few minutes in fact authentic Muglai recipes are cooked at very low temperature and cooked for about 8-10 hours. From here, I thought of trying this recipe in slow cooker as we know that at low settings we can cook any recipe specially meat or chicken recipe for about 8-10 hours. So could be ideal temperature for cooking biryani too.

Anyways if you are making any authentic recipe, I would suggest get spices and ingredients authentic too. You can get the Indian spices and ingredients easily in the local Indian market. One of the major ingredient is Indian ghee (you can get this easily too in the Indian market).
Anyways let’s start cooking this amazing recipe –

Slow-Cooker: American Chop Suey with Ground Beef

American chop suey, I heard this name somewhere in a local Chinese restaurant where they serve tomato and vegetable starch-thickened sauce with chicken or seafood over the fried noodles or rice. Then my friend sent me this recipe via email with a subject – American Chop Suey (Macaroni and beef slow cooker recipe). Reading just the subject line actually caught my attention as I already got ground beef in the refrigerator and I was planning to make  ground beef for a dinner. Although, I just made few changes from the original recipe and added extra ingredients in it.

Slow cooker recipes are perfect for someone who have busy work schedules or have busy schedules at home so what I do is; I put all the ingredients in the slow cooker in the afternoon or in early evening and by the time my dinner is ready when I want to serve. In the spare time I take care of my kids and can do other work commitments which I finish off by that time.

This American chop suey is an easy one bowl dinner idea to prepare on any busy weekend or weekday. The ground beef mix slowly cooks, then the cooked macaroni is added just before serving time. It’s really simple recipe and your kids will definitely like this recipe too. I guess this is one of the easiest ground beef recipe I made till date additionally this recipe was a hit in my family. Nevertheless, let’s start cooking this amazing recipe –

Chicken Stew Indian Style

If we talk about chicken stew recipe, even I am not sure about its origin. I mean stew is made almost everywhere Mexico, Spain, United States, Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium, Brazil, Romania and even India. I have tried many versions of stew across the world but recently I have tasted Indian version of chicken stew. Its origin is from southern part of India and if I am not wrong is called "nadan kozhi "stew in Kerala. I don’t know how to pronounce it, but I guess that’s the real name of this dish. (If you know the actual name of this dish, please share with us too.)

It’s not like our southern America’s chicken stew but the flavors and spices used in this recipe, is simply aromatic and mouthwatering. I absolutely love the flavors and the way it blends in your mouth pallet. You can serve this with steamed rice, it tastes amazing with rice or if you want you can have them with bread too. If you are worried for the spices then don’t worry you will find all the spices and herbs near any Indian market.

So let’s start cooking –
